Our story

We are seasoned oil & gas professionals, most of us with 15 to 25 years experience across a number of basins, and disciplines. This includes extensive work in CO, WY, UT, MT, ND, OK, KS, NE, NM, LA, and TX.

Our track record includes transactions >$100MM, managing large annual E&P budgets, more than 100 successful JVs, and numerous successful completions of vertical and horizontal wells.

After working with some of the largest O&G companies and independents, our team now partners with them in developing their positions.

Our Interest

Our primary interest is the Denver Julesburg Basin in Colorado and Wyoming, with an emphasis on the Wattenberg Field, located just north of Denver, CO. It is the 4th and 9th largest onshore field depending on measure; covers 2,200 square miles; and has over 30,000 producing wells. In the last 12 months, there were more than 700 new wells drilled and over 4,800 permits submitted.

From a geological perspective, the field boasts 7 known productive formations with the Niobrara and Codell being the current primary targets. The big operators are heavily invested in the field, and are now in the process of “mining” their positions, typically with between 8 and 12 one to two mile lateral wells per section. This represents >$50MM investment per square mile illustrating just how prolific this field is.

This size, productivity, infrastructure, understanding, and commitment to the field makes it one of the most desired in the country. Our relationships make it even more attractive for us.
